Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Support Worker to join our team at Greenford High School. As a key member of our Learning Support Department, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students with special educational needs to overcome their barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the SENCO to develop and implement targeted interventions to support students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to improve their academic progress, conduct, and character development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive a comprehensive and inclusive education.
  • Monitor student progress and identify areas where additional support is needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications and experience in working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of current developments in secondary education and child protection policies.
