About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN).



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide tailored support to ensure the student's full engagement in classroom activities.
  • Assist the student with learning tasks and help them achieve their individual targets.
  • Support the student's social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement the student's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the student's unique needs.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents on the student's progress and well-being.


Requirements


  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a one-to-one setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Collaborative working style with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
  • Desirable: experience using interventions and strategies tailored to support students with SEN.
