Location: West London
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Learning Mentor to join our team at a secondary school in West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and developing their skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students with SEN, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN, including behavior management and learning strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.
- Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness and developing plans to address any gaps in learning.
- Provide administrative support, including maintaining accurate records and reporting on student progress.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience working with students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the school.
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice.
