Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join our client's successful and respected customer relations team in Macclesfield. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients, delivering a proactive and efficient service end to end, from order processing to order delivery and account development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Develop a consultative and partnership approach to fully understand client requirements and deliver a tailored service.
- Order Processing: Process client enquiries, orders, and change requests accurately and on time, liaising with other departments to ensure deadlines are met and response times reduced.
- Debt Recovery: Actively pursue debtors in conjunction with the Customer Service Manager.
- Communication: Respond to client enquiries in a professional and timely manner, giving notice of any technical, commercial, quality, or manufacturing issues.
- Quality and Technical Support: Liaise with Quality and Technical Departments on all client product returns to establish liability and corrective action plans.
- Order Monitoring: Monitor the progress of designated client orders, reporting back to senior management and the client as necessary.
- Reporting: Provide management with information on sales enquiries, response times, lead times, and client orders in the agreed format on a timely basis.
- Supply Chain Management: Communicate, investigate, and provide input into resolving supply issues.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a structured, time-sensitive, and high-pressure role, preferably in a B2B environment with an understanding of commercial processes.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within an engineering/manufacturing industry is advantageous.
- Skills: Excellent data input accuracy and attention to detail, confident and professional communication, proactive, positive, and helpful disposition.
