Job Summary

The University of Cambridge is seeking a skilled Facilities and Reception Supervisor to join its Business Team. This is a busy and reactive role that requires excellent inter-personal skills, organisational skills, and experience of problem solving and people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the main site at the Institute of Metabolic Science, liaising with the University of Cambridge and Addenbrooke's Hospital estates departments for other sites on the campus.
  • Provide advice and assistance for the facilities management of other sites in Cambridgeshire.
  • Ensure provision of satisfactory infrastructure services for staff and visitors, including building maintenance and security access, cleaning, hospitality, and meeting room provision.
  • Support the Health and Safety Co-ordinator to ensure the department meets required standards.
  • Manage three Administrative Assistants who undertake reception duties.

Requirements

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and organisational skills.
  • Experience of problem solving and people management.
  • Some experience of health and safety practices.
