**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at the William Jackson Food Group Limited. As a leading food distributor in the hospitality industry, we provide a wide range of products to over 1,200 restaurant kitchens across the country.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term contract position (3-6 months) that involves managing Wellocks' credit policies and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. You will assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, monitor customer accounts, and implement effective debt recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and letters.
  • Present and prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and collection status.
  • Analyse aged debt reports and provide recommendations for implementations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth credit and collection processes.
  • Handle customer queries and disputes regarding billing and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to credit control.
  • Identify and mitigate potential credit risks to the company.
  • Utilise technology and software to streamline credit management and collection processes.
  • Work closely with the sales and legal teams to manage credit terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit processes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit management and debt collection processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; particularly Excel.
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

What We Offer:
