Job Description

We are looking for an Autism Support Specialist with passion to work with our fantastic teams in our Plymouth Community Service. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals, supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community, developing individuals home making skills and personal chores, and transforming lives and achieving results for autistic adults.

This is a part-time position of 11 hours per week, with a salary of £6,543.68 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to have flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, including evening and weekend working.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. You will also need to possess a background in supporting vulnerable people in a residential setting, although we can provide training if you do not already hold this qualification.

In addition, you will need to undergo a criminal background check, with possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months being preferable but not essential.
