The role of the Autism Specialist Clinician is to provide specialist assessment for adults who suspect they may be autistic, working within a multi-disciplinary team at Livewell Southwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • To undertake autism assessments within and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the wider autism pathway
  • Primarily, the post holder will undertake autism assessments but will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider autism pathway, delivering training about autism and autism assessment, and supporting delivery of Tier 1, mandatory training to Livewell Southwest staff
Requirements
  • NMC/HCPC Registered Practitioner or equivalent qualification at Degree or Masters level
  • Good knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition, Autism Act, Equality Act, working within health or social care services, Positive Behaviour Support, logical reasoning, organisation, outstanding communication, teamwork, self-reliance, and autonomy
