About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing behaviour support and education services to students, utilising a trauma-informed approach to de-escalate challenging behaviours and promote engagement with learning.

Responsibilities
  • To provide behaviour support and education services to students, working collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans.
  • To utilise a trauma-informed approach to understand and respond to the needs of students, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • To establish strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and young people in an educational or social care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
  • An understanding of the principles of trauma-informed practice and experience of implementing this approach in a school setting.
