This role will allow you to work with a mixed caseload of adults with acquired conditions, both in domiciliary and outpatient settings.
The SLT service is committed to CPD, research, audit and practice supervision.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our community team as a part-time Adult Autism Speech and Language Therapist (24 hours per week).
You will have the opportunity to support patients with a range of conditions, including stroke, dementia, Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's, and other conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Person-Centred Care: Provide person-centred care to patients with complex communication needs, including those with acquired brain injury.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Design and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, family members, and carers.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional registration and adhere to best practices in speech and language therapy.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in speech and language therapy
- HPC Registration
- RCSLT Registration
- RCSLT Level C dysphagia competencies (completed)
- Evidence of ongoing education and professional development
- Computer literate
- Recognised qualification in written and spoken English if this is not first language
Salary:
An estimated salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
