Specialist Support Staff for SEND Students in Plymouth

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Staff to join our team at GSL Education in Plymouth. This role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
About the RoleThis position involves providing tailored support to students, working closely with teachers to develop engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. A driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting students with SEN in various educational settings
- Collaborating with teachers to create effective lesson plans and strategies
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and parents/guardians
- A solid understanding of SEN principles and best practices
- Desired experience with Autism and SEMH
- Demonstrated patience and a caring approach when working with students
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with colleagues
