About the Role

As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Ofcom, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's compensation and recognition strategies. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of a consistent, transparent, and competitive compensation and recognition provision to colleagues to ensure that Ofcom can attract and retain the talent it needs to deliver its strategy.
  • Work with the Compensation and Recognition Manager to design and develop the annual pay and bonus review model recommendations and roll out to senior stakeholders and the wider organisation.
  • Participate in the development of the pay policy, reward strategy, and design of new programmes/policies to meet business objectives.
  • Create and maintain close relationships with Payroll, Finance, People Operations, Workday, and other relevant teams to ensure Reward information is accurate and relevant.
  • Coordinate Ofcom's participation in salary surveys and ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Research and gather internal and external salary data providing salary benchmarks and package recommendations to the People Business Partner and Recruitment teams, in line with the Reward principles and policies.
  • Provide day-to-day support for all employee compensation and recognition matters.
  • Provide ongoing support to all recognition activities, such as management of the colleague recognition system, recognition reporting, and gift voucher purchases and management.
  • Develop and help with the preparation of internal communications and materials required to support compensation projects and processes.
  • Through networks and other relevant forums, keep up to date with monitoring external statutory, legal, and other best practice trends which may have an impact on Ofcom's reward practices and principles and propose amendments where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the management and development of the organisation-wide recognition schemes, ensuring that they are run in an efficient manner.
  • Support the management of the risk and control environment for your area.
  • Ensure that Ofcom's HRIS (Workday) is up to date with relevant data such as job profiles, salaries, and bonuses and maintain the job catalogue.
  • Lead and input into other Reward projects as and when required.
Requirements
  • In-depth experience of an annual reward cycle and building complex pay models.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel - Ability to use complex formulas and functions such as IF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and array formulas to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
  • Expertise in creating and modifying Pivot Tables for data summarisation, trend analysis, and reporting.
  • In-depth experience of all aspects of job analysis and pricing, including survey analysis.
  • Extensive experience in data analysis and manipulating large volumes of data.
  • Flexible, proactive approach and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • HR system experience, with experience of maintaining and managing data on Workday (desirable).
