Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Speech Therapist Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding role, where you will have the opportunity to work with adults who have communication and swallowing disorders following stroke.

About the Role:

  • Provide high-quality specialist assessment and rehabilitation to adults with communication and swallowing disorders following stroke.
  • Work within a strong multidisciplinary team on the acute stroke unit and may also deliver care within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex communication and swallowing needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.

Person Specification:

  • A recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT and HCPC).
  • Current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Membership of RCSLT.
  • Evidence of successful completion of postgraduate study in dysphagia.
  • Experience in delivering education and training packages.
  • Competent to a high level in the management of complex patients with communication and/or swallowing disorders.

Salary: £43,141 - £72,619 per annum.
