Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a highly skilled Academic Intervention Specialist to join our team in Kingston-upon-Thames. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with students who require additional support to thrive academically.

As an Academic Intervention Specialist, you will play a key role in helping students catch up with their peers and reach their goals. With a strong focus on academic support, you will work collaboratively with our experienced teaching staff to develop and deliver tailored learning plans for students who need it most.

You will be responsible for providing targeted support to students, working closely with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed. With a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and make a real impact in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver targeted learning plans for students requiring additional support
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to identify areas where students may need extra help
  • Provide one-to-one and small group tuition to students in need
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of progress
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to student support

Requirements:

  • PGCE or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Experience of working with students who require additional support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Up-to-date knowledge of educational research and best practice
