About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Call Handler at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a Call Handler, you will be responsible for answering calls from patients, healthcare professionals, and staff, providing information and support in accordance with our training and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer calls from patients, healthcare professionals, and staff, providing accurate and timely information and support.
  • Work in partnership with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the safe processing of patient information.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to cover call handling shifts and respond to changing service needs.
  • Provide polite and professional communication to patients, ensuring their concerns are addressed and resolved.
  • Be adaptable to new services and ways of working, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements
  • Minimum of GCSE in English grades A-D.
  • Previous experience in customer service or telephony handling.
  • Good keyboard skills and IT literacy.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
