Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Wellbeing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our students, ensuring their academic and personal well-being, and promoting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Wellbeing team to all stakeholders, promoting a culture of support and inclusivity.
  • Manage a cross-campus team responsible for wellbeing and welfare services, enhancing the student experience and meeting the needs of our students.
  • Provide high-quality wellbeing support to all students, addressing their concerns, and signposting them to external resources as needed.
  • Ensure students have an excellent experience at VCAD, prioritizing their wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with Academic managers to ensure efficient and effective wellbeing support, meeting the needs of all students.
  • Develop and deliver wellbeing workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events to promote student well-being.
  • Establish and maintain clear policies and procedures for risk assessment, support, and referral to external bodies, as required.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and external partners to establish and maintain productive relationships, supporting service delivery and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or related subjects.
  • Relevant experience in the FE/HE sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Sensitivity and empathy when working with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in team management, risk assessments, and crisis management.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
