About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Victoria College of Arts and Design. As a key member of our Student Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to our students, ensuring they have an excellent experience at our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Wellbeing department to all stakeholders, promoting a culture of student wellbeing and welfare.
  • Manage a cross-campus team responsible for delivering wellbeing and welfare services that enhance the student experience and meet the needs of our students.
  • Provide direct support to students dealing with wellbeing issues, signposting them to external bodies as necessary.
  • Ensure that wellbeing support is a top priority, working closely with Academic managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver cross-campus wellbeing workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events to promote student wellbeing.
  • Establish and maintain clear policies and procedures for risk assessment, support, and referral of students to external bodies.
  • Collaborate with other teams to establish and maintain productive relationships, supporting service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Liaise with external bodies to improve support for students in need.
  • Plan and organize own workload, contributing to longer-term plans and programs.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Relevant experience in the FE/HE sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Sensitivity and empathy when working with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Strong team management skills and experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management, with a focus on student wellbeing.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to identify and implement continuous improvement.
