**Job Title:** Business Development Manager - UK Transport Logistics
**Location:** Scunthorpe/Immingham/Grimsby Areas (Flexible)
**Salary:** £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Commission + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits
About the Role:DMA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity will see you drive new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of industry connections in the transport logistics sector. With a strong understanding of European markets, you will leverage your knowledge to gain a competitive edge.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
- Build and maintain a network of industry connections in the transport logistics sector.
- Successfully close deals and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Leverage knowledge of the Belgian, German, Dutch, and Iberian markets to gain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Visit existing and potential clients, ensuring a strong presence in the market.
- Manage price structures and tariffs, provide quotations, and follow up with clients.
- Finalise and close deals, including client set-up, customs formalities, and credit terms.
- Maintain accurate client records and nurture long-term relationships.
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints/retention.
- Attend relevant trade seminars, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Perform competitor analysis to stay competitive in the market.
- Be prepared to travel within the UK and abroad as necessary.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in business development or transport logistics sales, especially with the Belgian, German, Dutch, or Iberian markets.
- Self-motivated with a strong track record in achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
