About the Role

The Sound Check Development Coach will play a key role in developing and delivering inspiring and engaging Sound Check Skills Bootcamps training and employment programmes to adults aged 19+.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize passion, skills, and experience of the live music industry to work in partnership with Future Yard CIC to develop and deliver training and employment programmes.
  • Support learners to gain hands-on work experience at live events through a network of partner local venues.
  • Prepare learners for a guaranteed interview with an employer at the end of their programme.
  • Support the Sound Check delivery partnership team in raising and maintaining a high Quality of Education in alignment with OFSTED Education Inspection Framework.
  • Meet all contractual and funding requirements for both The Learning Foundry and Future Yard CIC.
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle and an enhanced DBS check.
  • Passion and experience of working within the live music sector.
  • Some experience in at least one of the following areas of the live music industry: Technical Production, Event Management, or Musician.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally, as well as presentation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently, using initiative to think of new and creative approaches to continuously improve performance.
  • Relevant teaching qualification, such as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Cert Ed.
  • Experience of working with individuals who are not in employment, education, or training, and delivering training and employability programmes.
