The Commercial Sales Development Programme is an exciting opportunity for graduates to join a leading distributor in electrical equipment and embark on a career in sales.
About the Company:
Dealing with NHS, university groups as well as electrical wholesalers, we are part of a wider business group that enjoys a significant turnover of £900 million per year. With great room for growth within the business, we are seeking graduates to develop within our sales team.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £27,000- £29,000 per annum, plus a lucrative profit share scheme and comprehensive training & development programme. Additionally, you will receive 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and other benefits.
About the Role:
As a commercial sales trainee, you will immerse yourself into how the business functions from the ground up before being introduced to your sales targets. You will represent the company through dealing with clients across a range of industries, with a mix of working with existing customers and looking to create new business.
In your first 3 months, you will receive a thorough induction, spending time in different departments of the business with a training guide to complete. You will learn about operating procedures, products, market, customers, and suppliers in the warehouse. Your time will initially be managing existing clients, but you will also be given the opportunity to seek out new customers.
We are committed to your development and therefore invest in putting you through external sales training delivered by BMS Performance as well as offering plenty of internal training. In addition, you will receive training from the Electrical Distributors Association (EDA) who represent the interests of wholesale distributors of electro-technical products in the UK.

To succeed in this role, you must be hungry and ambitious to kick-start a sales career. You should be confident, with the ability to speak to a range of clients, personable, a keen relationship builder, coachable, and resilient. Determination and a positive mindset are essential in sales, learning to take a 'no' and pushing to achieve the next 'yes'.
