Job Overview

The post holder will provide strategic leadership and management to the designated department and its associated workforce and services. They will be responsible for ensuring all clinical and non-clinical performance indicators, targets, and objectives are met in line with national and local standards.

Working in partnership with other members of the senior management team, the post holder will promote effective governance and ensure that the highest standard of patient care is delivered. They will contribute to the development, delivery, and translation of Trust-wide and divisional clinical service strategies, corporate and divisional objectives, and the development and implementation of business plans and service developments.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective operational strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  2. Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service integration.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department and services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and other stakeholders to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction and staff engagement.
