Overview


As a leading manufacturer of hard landscaping and building products, Marshalls PLC is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the Yorkshire territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.


About You


We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a proven track record in external sales. As a commercial thinker with a passion for sales, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to achieve targets through planning and analysis, and experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop value-added presentations.


Key Responsibilities


The main responsibilities of this role include:



  • Developing and implementing a sales strategy to achieve regional sales targets
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with specifiers and contractors
  • Negotiating and delivering specific business plans to achieve regional sales targets
  • Attending regular meetings across the region and preparing forecasts to support planning

Requirements


To be considered for this role, you will need to have:



  • A strong background in external sales, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry
  • Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop value-added presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • A proven track record of achieving targets through planning and analysis
  • A UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory

Benefits


We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus a car allowance, pension scheme, and 26 days' annual leave. We also provide ongoing training and development opportunities to support your career progression.

About the Role


This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week. You will be required to live on patch, have a UK driving licence, and be willing to travel within the territory.
