Teaching Assistant with Special Needs Expertise

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our accredited specialist team at our partnership school.
About the Role:This role is highly suitable for individuals seeking experience after graduating from their respective Psychology Degree and have the desire to gain valuable experience for future Doctorate applications.
The successful candidate will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum within a range of learning contexts including the classroom, the local environment, and within the community.
- Support students with complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments
- Help young people with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties achieve their educational and personal goals
- Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of our client school, and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role
Our partnership school is an independent Special day school providing a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of MLD and SLD needs.

Key Responsibilities:- Support students with complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments
- Help young people with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties achieve their educational and personal goals
- Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of our client school, and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role
- Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) Maths and English
- Able to understand and deliver effective education and support in line with identified needs
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to our students' communication needs
