Location: Schools in Meldreth, Hertfordshire

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with special educational needs in our schools. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in various learning contexts.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum
  • Help students with complex needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism
  • Create an inclusive environment that fosters equality, diversity, and respect for all students
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and the values of the school
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role

Requirements:

  • Able to work towards getting formal qualifications and attend training
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Ambitious and determined to overcome barriers to learning
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to students' communication needs
  • Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) Maths and English
