Specialist SEN Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at a large SEN school in Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with severe or profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and severe learning difficulties (SLD).
The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth. They will also have experience in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support students' unique needs and goals.

About the RoleThe Learning Support Professional will work closely with other professionals, such as therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for students. They will maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and reports, and participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations, as well as a strong understanding of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums.
They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class.
Requirements- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
- Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
- Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
- Positive team working, being able to contribute to our established team
- Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording
- The ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class
