Job Overview

Located in Meldreth, Cambridgeshire, we are an independent Special day school catering to students aged 6 to 19 with diverse PMLD, MLD, and SLD needs.

About the Role

We seek a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our NAS accredited specialist team. As a member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of learners with profound and complex requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • To plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students within your class.
  • To develop, implement, and review individualized educational plans that promote student progress and achievement.
  • To work collaboratively with the therapeutic team and other educators to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of a well-structured and safe learning environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • A working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations.
  • Experience and knowledge of SEN learning, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the established team dynamic.
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress.
  • The capacity to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class.
  • The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines.
