Specialist SEN Teacher Opportunity

Located in Meldreth, Cambridgeshire, we are an independent Special day school catering to students aged 6 to 19 with diverse PMLD, MLD, and SLD needs.
About the RoleWe seek a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our NAS accredited specialist team. As a member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of learners with profound and complex requirements.
Your primary objective will be to create better outcomes and life chances for our students as they prepare for adult life. With opportunities for career development and progression available, this role presents a chance for growth within our establishment.
Key Responsibilities- To plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students within your class.
- To develop, implement, and review individualized educational plans that promote student progress and achievement.
- To work collaboratively with the therapeutic team and other educators to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- To contribute to the development and maintenance of a well-structured and safe learning environment.
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of ongoing professional development.
- A working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations.
- Experience and knowledge of SEN learning, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the established team dynamic.
- Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress.
- The capacity to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class.
- The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines.
