About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a specialist learning environment in Royston. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with a range of PMLD, MLD, and SLD needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations, as well as experience in SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums. They will be required to work positively with colleagues, contributing to the established team, and demonstrate diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress.

Job Description

The role will involve:
  • Teaching and learning within a specialist learning environment
  • Planning and implementing individualised, specialist approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Leading and directing other adults supporting within the class

Requirements
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording
  • Ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).

The salary for this role is £31,650 - £49,084 (M1-UPS3).
