Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team at a large SEN school in Royston. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations, as well as experience in SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums. They will be required to work positively with colleagues, contributing to the established team, and demonstrate diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with a range of PMLD, MLD, and SLD needs
  • Plan and implement individualised, specialist approaches to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Lead and direct other adults supporting within the class

Requirements
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording
  • Ability to lead and direct other adults supporting within the class

Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border

£31,650 - £49,084 (M1-UPS3)
