About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students aged 6-19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

The successful candidate will be able to support students in managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulty with transitions, often demonstrated through their behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in various curriculum areas, including classroom, local environment, and community settings.
  • Assist students with complex medical conditions and autism to achieve educational and personal goals.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes equality, diversity, and respect for all students.
  • Emphasize student empowerment and support.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of Special Education issues and the values of our client school.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, working 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £21,000 per annum, dependent on experience, based on the estimated salary range of £15,000 - £25,000 per annum.
