Our roads and pavements require careful management to ensure public safety, and that's where you come in.
The Highways service is responsible for managing highways assets worth £250m through a Term Service Contract. We need a suitably qualified and experienced professional to oversee this critical function and contribute to the Highways Leadership Team.
Your Responsibilities- Lead the Council's Highway Maintenance Team safely, effectively, and sustainably.
- Provide operational and strategic leadership to Highway Maintenance services.
- Ensure excellent customer service and responsiveness.
- Be accountable for developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships and contract performance and the delivery of revenue and capital programmes of work.
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement and corporate change, leading by example in line with the Council's values.
