Job Description: Learning Assistant for SEN Students

Location: Oxford

Estimated Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment that prioritises the needs and development of its pupils. As a Learning Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide care and encouragement to pupils, helping them develop independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to inform teaching strategies and interventions.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant experience in education or childcare is desirable but not essential; however, a willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).
