Job Title: Executive Assistant to CHG Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Director of the Centre for Human Genetics, Nuffield Department of Medicine.

The Centre for Human Genetics (CHG) is a world-leading research unit with approximately 400 researchers and staff conducting cutting-edge research in human genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external enquiries and requests for information for the CHG Director, managing the Director's diary and using initiative to make informed decisions when juggling competing demands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising meetings, including arranging catering and travel arrangements for the Director
  • Providing daily operational line management to other PAs working in the unit
  • Managing complex diary management and dealing with confidential and sensitive correspondence
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in audio/touch typing, record-keeping, and dictation
  • High levels of computer literacy, including MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • A high standard of numeracy, with the ability to track financial spend against budgets
