Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Director of the Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Director's diary, coordinating meetings, and making travel arrangements, as well as providing operational line management to other administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Director's diary, using initiative to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions
- Coordinate meetings, including arranging catering and logistics
- Make travel arrangements, including visas, expenses, and insurance
- Provide operational line management to other administrative staff, including 3 direct reports
- Assist with complex diary management and confidential correspondence
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Education to A-Level or equivalent
- Experience as an executive or personal assistant at a senior level
- Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in audio/touch typing, record-keeping, and dictation
- High levels of computer literacy, including MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
- High standard of numeracy, with the ability to track financial spend against budgets
