Executive Assistant to Director of Centre for Human Genetics

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Director of the Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Director's diary, coordinating meetings, and making travel arrangements, as well as providing daily operational line management to other administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Director's diary, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling competing demands
- Coordinate meetings, including arranging catering and making travel arrangements
- Provide daily operational line management to other administrative staff, with a focus on supporting the team to deliver high-quality results
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, academics, and external partners
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Director's office, including managing correspondence, reports, and other administrative tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant at a senior level, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality administrative support
- Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in audio/touch typing, record-keeping, and dictation
- High levels of computer literacy, with a good knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs of different audiences
- A high standard of numeracy, with the ability to track financial spend against budgets
