Business Development Manager

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Supplier Relationship Management team, who will play a fundamental role in engaging and building productive relationships across the SSE Group with key Software and SaaS Suppliers.
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and developing productive relationships with our major Software and SaaS suppliers, which have been selected through our Supplier Segmentation process in collaboration with our internal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage and develop productive relationships between IT, P&C, BU and IT Key Suppliers
- Provide commercial and contractual advice and insights to Procurement and Commercial leadership and Directors of the SSE Group
- Manage a portfolio of Suppliers within the Software category with a value of £50-100m per annum
- Manage the performance and develop the capabilities of a team of 2 Contract Manager(s)
Requirements:
- Comprehensive and proven in-depth knowledge and experience of the software and SaaS market and Supply chain
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and highly experienced in building and maintaining relationships with IT & Telco Suppliers
- Proven track record in communicating effectively with Senior Management and Directors to build valued and 'trusted partner' relationships
- Experience in leading the most complex technology commercial negotiations and operating with the strategic/long term in mind
