About the Opportunity


This role offers a unique chance to work in a highly regulated environment, such as the Nuclear Industry or on a COMAH regulated site, with a focus on asset management control and instrumentation.



The Role


As a Senior C&I Engineer, you will play a crucial part in delivering safe, legally compliant, reliable, and efficient operational performance over the lifetime of assets. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulatory and insurance obligations, measuring the effectiveness of existing frameworks, and implementing new asset management systems to reduce engineering risk.



Key Responsibilities



  1. Deliver safe and efficient operational performance over the lifetime of assets.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulatory and insurance obligations.
  3. Measure the effectiveness of existing frameworks and implement new asset management systems.
  4. Maintain asset integrity to meet requirements for process safety, HSE, and ONR compliance.
  5. Work cross-functionally across operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.


Requirements



  • Operational experience in a plant engineering environment working closely with maintenance and operations.
  • Familiarity with asset management processes and systems.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance schedules, ideally SAP.
  • Understanding of Nuclear/COMAH safety cases and their statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge of field instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, and flow devices.
  • Good configuration control understanding including P&IDs, loop drawings, termination schedules, and panel schematic experience.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, such as the Nuclear Industry or on a COMAH regulated site.
  • Solid background in Control & Instrumentation engineering and a desire to learn and develop.
  • Experience in a plant front line working environment while ensuring safety and quality.
  • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver optimal engineering solutions.
  • Understanding of reliability principles such as FMEA, RCM, or Root cause analysis.


Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
