Accounts Assistant

Kenton Black Finance is recruiting on behalf of a company based near Rossendale, who are seeking a permanent and part-time Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will work circa 24 hours per week and have experience in purchase ledger or sales ledger, or both.
Key Responsibilities- Opening post and/or printing emailed invoices
- Updating invoices received on Excel sheet
- Filing purchase orders and delivery notes
- Matching invoices to corresponding purchase orders and delivery notes, identifying and resolving any discrepancies (approx 400 per month)
- Producing sales invoices using Easy Quote – knowledge an advantage but full training will be given if not. (approx 100 per month)
- Processing internal stock transfers
- Maintaining held invoice Excel list, liaising with suppliers & sales/warehouse staff when problems occur
- Reconciling supplier statements resolving any outstanding queries
- Preparing payment run.
- Able to maintain regular and effective communication with internal and external staff and suppliers
- Answering telephone, dealing with enquiries and directing calls to relevant staff
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Experience in Sage Line 50 is preferred and experience essential in using MS Excel & Word
- A salary of up to £16, working 24 hours per week
- After 1 full year of service the company have a sick pay scheme of 2 weeks at full pay and 2 weeks at half pay which applies over a rolling 12 months
- The company provide a workplace pension, which they contribute 3%
