**Job description**
Mainland Catering Equipment Ltd is a privately owned organisation based is Haslingden, Lancashire. We supply commercial catering equipment and schemes to various pub chains, restaurants, schools, bars, etc.
**The Applicant should be able to**:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of SAGE 50 accounting software.
- Have a good understanding of Microsoft programs such as Outlook, word, excel etc.
- Be able to work on their own initiative.
- Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders as needed.
- Demonstrate clear and open communication skills both oral and written.
**What will you be doing?**
The role will be varied and include, but is not limited to the following:
- Enter purchase ledger details into our system.
- Produce reports as required.
- Purchase ledger administration.
- Set up supply-chain partner accounts on our system as required.
- Set up schedule of payments to suppliers ready for management approval.
- Validate supply-chain invoices and set up supplier payments.
- Sales ledger administration.
- Process client payment.
- Chase money.
- Preparation of tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts.
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Invoicing.
**What do you need?**
You should be able to manage your time effectively, be punctual and work well within a small team and deliver efficient, reliable, and accurate services to fellow employees and customers. You will ideally be educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent and demonstrate basic IT skills with and neat and tidy approach to your work. You should have some experience with similar positions prior to applying.
**What are the hours?**
This is a fairly flexible position, we are offering the option of both part time and full time, please note the salary will vary dependent on this.
