Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Coventry area, working closely with Key Stage 2 pupils who require additional support.

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support, facilitate engaging group sessions, and deliver targeted interventions to enhance pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Provide 1:1 support to Key Stage 2 pupils with SEN, utilising evidence-based strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Facilitate inclusive group sessions, promoting social interaction and collaborative learning among pupils with SEN.
  • Deliver interventions that foster pupils' personal development, wellbeing, and confidence.
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
  • Previous experience in a primary school environment, particularly with Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • Training in TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £95-£110 per day, dependent on your level of experience.
