Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Oil & Gas M&A Lead to join our dynamic Merger & Acquisition Department. This role will play a pivotal part in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments that align with MatchaTalent's growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential target companies, leveraging internal expertise and external resources to assess financial performance, operational capabilities, and market position.
- Develop robust valuation models using various methodologies to determine the fair value of target companies and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with stakeholders, including sellers, legal counsel, and financial advisors, to structure and finalize transaction agreements that are mutually beneficial.
- Manage the entire M&A process from initial screening to deal closing, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and technology, to integrate acquired businesses seamlessly into MatchaTalent's existing infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Finance from a reputable institution. An MBA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of proven experience in mergers & acquisitions, with a strong track record of successfully executing complex transactions within the oil and gas industry.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, due diligence processes, and legal documentation related to M&A activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, coupled with strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
