About the Company

Our client is a leading company in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. The company operates through three main segments: Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment focuses on crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids exploration, field development, and production. The Downstream segment is involved in refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products to international and domestic customers. The Corporate segment provides supporting services, including human resources, finance, and information technology.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD). ATSD is a multidisciplinary organization that provides technical and business support to our Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation Admin Area and our affiliates. The department's main function is to cater to the technical needs of our Global Manufacturing operating facilities, management, and driving the performance of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a lifecycle management program and database for critical electrical equipment.
  • Manage and maintain the corporate arc flash hazard mitigation program and conduct audits.
  • Provide technical expertise and participate in failure investigations to capture outcomes and share them with other facilities to eliminate recurring electrical equipment failures.
  • Develop and manage centralized service contracts for critical assets such as UPS, ATS, Battery Charger, Excitation, and MV cables testing.
  • Manage the performance of Cogeneration assets and lead technical programs, studies, and assessments.

Requirements

  • This role requires a candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in refining/petrochemical industries.
  • Preferred experience in performing electrical power system studies utilizing ETAP modeling.
  • Essential familiarity with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices for industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with specification application and maintenance of up to 15kV class electrical equipment.
  • Preferred knowledge of power generation (cogeneration), power distribution, and power automation.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety, arc flash hazards mitigation, hazardous area classification, power generation, distribution, and protection, motors and motor controls, AC/DC systems, electrical studies, and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.).
