Tenancy Support Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Support Officer to provide support to residents whose homes are undergoing major building works. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
About the Role:
The Tenancy Support Officer will be responsible for liaising with contractors and residents to ensure effective communication and minimizing disruption. They will also develop and manage resident consultation plans for individual projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with contractors and residents to ensure effective communication.
- Develop and manage resident consultation plans.
- Coordinate re-housing arrangements where necessary.
- Advise project managers on potential impacts on residents.
- Provide information and assistance to leaseholders regarding service charge payments.
- Liaise with contractors and external agencies to resolve access issues and disputes.
- Process insurance claims efficiently.
- Initiate legal action against tenants and/or leaseholders where necessary.
- Participate in capital project development as a project team member.
- Design and conduct social surveys prior to major projects.
- Establish and maintain customer feedback procedures.
- Ensure information about vulnerable residents is communicated according to policy.
- Proactively identify vulnerable residents and ensure adequate provision is made for their needs.
- Undertake resident satisfaction surveys after capital projects.
- Assist in implementing the Best Value Action Plan for the HRA Capital Programme.
- Stay up-to-date with current developments in housing policy and customer service.
- Possess experience working in social housing, local government, or customer-service environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively and plan own work independently.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to work flexibly and outside office hours.
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
