Deputy Children's Home Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and passionate Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our client's growing team in the Mansfield area. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in a training programme designed to help you become a Residential Manager of your very own children's home.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand-new 2-bed home project from the very beginning, shaping the home's culture, care, and team, with the full support of a dedicated management structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and maintain OFSTED standards
  • Provide high-quality support to achieve positive outcomes for the children
  • Work alongside senior leaders to plan residential services, improvements, and strategic direction
  • Manage the day-to-day operational needs of the home, ensuring all policies and health and safety guidelines are met
  • Create and maintain Person-Centred Plans for all children, reviewing them regularly to ensure the best care
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (minimum)
  • 3 years of experience working with children in residential settings over the past 5 years
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations (2015), care standards, and OFSTED requirements
  • Learning Disability (LD) experience would be an advantage, though not essential
What We Offer
  • Salary: £45,000 to £50,000, with very achievable bonuses
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
  • Career Development: No need for a Level 5 qualification or registered manager experience—we'll fully support you with training, OFSTED registration, and a management programme to guide your development.
