About the Role:

As a Registered Children's Home Manager at Shaw Trust, you will be responsible for ensuring a secure, safe, and motivating environment for both the children and young people in your care and the staffing team. You will foster an atmosphere where they can thrive, while also working closely with the Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the home forward, ensuring high-quality care and support for the children in our care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and legislations.
  • Manage and supervise a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide the best possible care.
  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, meeting the needs of the children and young people in our care.

Requirements:

  • QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a Registered Children's Home setting in a supervisory role.
  • Substantive experience in a Managerial role, including supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children's Home setting.
  • Proven track record with Ofsted.
  • Ability to work closely with the Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
