We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic and supportive Approved Mental Health Service (AMHP) in Essex. The role involves working as part of a team that delivers the AMHP rota, ensuring compliance with statutory functions imposed upon the Local Authority by the Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage workloads and support colleagues with challenging cases.
  • Prioritise tasks, provide direction, and offer expert advice and guidance.
  • Triage mental health act referrals and respond appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in social work, with expertise in mental health act referrals and procedures. They must be able to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and provide expert advice and guidance.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience in social work, preferably in mental health services.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and give direction to others.

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive salary range £45,217 to £54,395 per annum. You will be based in either Colchester or Basildon, with opportunities to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.
