Job Summary

This full-time position involves working as part of a dynamic team, providing senior medical support and guidance to colleagues while managing a broad range of mental disorders in children. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient care, ensuring seamless integration with other healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care to children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Provide senior medical input on clinical cases and offer guidance and supervision to junior staff members.
  • Liaise with external CAMHS mental health providers, acute hospitals, and other relevant agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • Section 12 certification or a commitment to work towards it.
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least four years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) with a minimum of two years in a specialty training program in a relevant specialty.
