Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Community CAMHS Specialty Doctor to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people with mental health needs across Southend-on-Sea.

About the Role

This is a substantive post, offering a great chance to influence future direction, treatment, and models of care in the area. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families, liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
  • Section 12 certification or a commitment to work towards this.
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or equivalent experience and competencies.
