Mental Health Specialist

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Mental Health Specialist to join their Essex SET CAMHS team in Thundersley. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based therapy approaches to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties in community and hospital settings.
The role involves assessing and managing clinical risk, using dynamic case formulation skills and collaborating with service users to agree treatment and safety plans. A current Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapist, Counselling, or Psychotherapy qualification is essential, along with experience in delivering therapy approaches (including DBT/CBT/Systemic & Creative therapies).
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality assessments and risk assessments in community and hospital settings.
- Collaborate with service users to develop and implement personalized treatment and safety plans.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and service users.
- Professional Qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, or Psychotherapy.
- Experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Ability to manage complex cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
