Teaching Assistant - SEN Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in schools across Barnet. This full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:00pm), offers a competitive daily rate of £100-£110.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, including Autism and ADHD.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEN in a variety of settings, including classrooms and playgrounds
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning and implementation, adapting materials to meet individual needs
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating effectively with parents and carers
What You Need to Succeed
- Previous experience working with children, ideally those with additional needs
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach when interacting with students and colleagues
- An understanding of child development and learning theories
