About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Support Professional to join our team at NYKays Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting individuals with ASD and SEN, and will be able to provide high-quality care and support.

Job Description

This role involves working as a teaching assistant in a school setting, providing day-to-day support to teachers and students with ASD and SEN. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with ASD and SEN.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Supporting colleagues with personal care-related tasks.
  • Contributing to a safe and productive learning environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 months' experience working with children with ASD and SEN.
  • A commitment to working with children with special educational needs.
  • The ability to manage challenging behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
